Connecting to the Teams app for students

Students of “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iasi can use the Microsoft Teams application for educational purposes.

The Microsoft Teams platform can be accessed:

  • Online, using an institutional account;

  • Locally, by installing the dedicated application on your computer.

For optimal use, please follow the installation and configuration steps presented below. These will guide you through the process of downloading, installing and signing in.

Note: Users who already have a username and network access password will proceed directly to step II.

Step I

  • Connect to the UAIC network;
  • At this point, when opening any web page, you will be redirected to the registration page in order to create your Internet access account;
  • you must fill in the student registration form.

Attention !!! By completing the registration form, you declare that you agree with the Regulations of the “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University.

  • After completing the form, you can check the existence of your account and find out the username (usually in the format firstname.lastname) on the account verification page;
  • If discrepancies are found between the data entered in the registration form and the data in the University database, your account will not be created.

The authentication system distinguishes between uppercase and lowercase letters.

If you filled in the registration form using uppercase letters (with Shift or Caps Lock), the password must be entered in the same way!!!

After the data has been processed and you have obtained the username (generally in the format firstname.lastname), you may proceed to the next step:
